We are ardent defenders of camping because were are ardent believers that a holiday should mean a change of surroundings, that it should allow you turn to your back on the humdrum routine of daily life and leave the noise and stress of the city behind you. Clean and tidy, that’s our motto! All our toilet and washing facilities are cleaned several times a day. Whether you’re waking up or cooling down, there’s nothing like a good hot shower in one of our well appointed outdoor ‘bathrooms’. In addition, almost all of our campsites are now equipped with wheelchair accessible toilets and washing facilities and baby-changing rooms.

A typical 5-person Funflower permanent tent comprises:

Bedroom no. 1 with double bed, bedside table and storage cupboards. Bedroom no. 2 with two single beds with integrated bedside tables. Spacious living room with bench seat which converts into a double bed. Kitchenette with gas hob, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchen utensils, table and chairs. Our permanent canvas tents give you all the spirit of camping with a bit of extra comfort. They all have electricity which means you can enjoy all the modern conveniences: electric light in every room and a counter-top fridge to keep you food fresh and drinks chilled. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking as well as an electric coffee maker (don’t forget the filters!) so you can enjoy your morning coffee and fresh crusty bread from the campsite shop sitting on your sheltered terrace. The bedrooms are equipped with proper beds – all you have to do is bring your own bedding (or rent it from the campsite). As far as crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils and toilet facilities are concerned, this remains a camping option (though some of our larger permanent tents are equipped with their own toilet facilities).

Ludewa District

Ludewa District is one of five districts in the Njombe Region in Tanzania, East Africa. Prior to 2012, the district was one of the seven districts of Iringa Region.[2] The town of Ludewa is the administrative seat of the district. A hospital is located in the city. The district is bordered to the north by the Njombe Rural District and Makete District, to the southeast by the Ruvuma Region and to the southwest by the country of Malawi across Lake Malawi/Lake Nyasa.
According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the Ludewa District had a population of 128,155

Geography

The district has a wide shore of Lake Nyasa with attractive beaches in Luping and Manda and the mouth of Ruhuhu River.

Economy

The primary occupation is subsistence farming and livestock rearing. Along the coast of Lake Nyasa there is traditional fishing. There is a small amount of artisanal mining of gold and gem quality green tourmaline.
